What is Teeth Whitening?
Teeth whitening works by applying a small amount of bleaching gel to the teeth. The gel then reacts with the surface of the tooth, gently removing stains and creating a beautiful, pearly white smile to be proud of.

“ I have attended Bridge Dental Clinic for around 7 years, where I initially had composite bonding whilst in my teens. Since the beginning, their service has been exceptional, along with their dentistry. I have recommended family members and friends to their clinic who all have corresponding views. 7 years on and my bonding has lasted and I still always receive compliments for my smile.”
Frequently Asked Questions
If sensitivity from tooth whitening is to occur, it will only be temporary and will go away within the following 48 hours. There will be no long-lasting effects on tooth sensitivity post whitening treatment.
Typically, you can expect whitening to last up to two years, however, it will depend on the individual. For the best results, it is advised to avoid coffee, red wine and smoking as these all cause staining of the teeth.
Generally, toothpaste whiteners only clean the stains on the surface and don’t actually change the colour of the teeth. Toothpastes might have some visible results but for effective results, we highly recommend a tooth whitening treatment.
Tooth whitening is a harmless process and there will be no permanent damage caused to the enamel.
