Mouthwash, Enhance Your Routine
Mouthwash
What is mouthwash?
Mouthwash is primarily used to kill germs within the mouth and to improve bad breath. Some are aimed at improving gum health or removing plaque.
How should you use it?
Always check the label of the mouthwash you have for instructions on how to use it as it varies between products.
1. The right amount
Use the amount it states on the label or as directed by your dentist.
2. Vigorously swish
Swish the mouthwash around with your mouth closed for the time stated on the label.
3. Spit it out
After you have swished the mouthwash around, make sure to spit it out!
4. Wait
To get the most benefit, wait 30 minutes afterwards before drinking or eating so you don’t wash away the fluoride.
Enhance your routine
Mouthwash is no replacement for brushing twice a day however adding it into your daily routine may help reduce plaque, improve gum health and freshen your breath.
