Do Root Canal Fillings Hurt?
We carry out root canal treatment under local anaesthetic, so rest assured you won’t feel any pain at all during the procedure. The Root Canal Procedure

Root canal treatment may be carried out over a series of appointments.
Appointment 1:
- Under local anaesthetic and microscope viewing a root canal filling is to remove the pulp from the infected tooth. We’ll then clean the root canals and get them ready for the filling.
- Once the root canal has been filled with a special material known as gutta percha, we may need to restore your tooth with a larger filling or dental crown.
