Step into Spring with a Smile

There is always plenty to smile about when spring finally comes – especially after a long winter such as this last one. New life, warm weather and the promise of even better days to come are just some of the things that make us feel positive about life and give us reason to smile. If, however, you find yourself unhappy with the colour of your teeth, you might just find yourself reluctant to smile and going to great lengths to avoid even speaking out of fear of showing your teeth. If this sounds like you, then professional teeth whitening could be the perfect way for you to step into spring with a brand new smile.

Why choose teeth whitening?

For years, teeth whitening was considered something that was only available to high earning celebrities such as actors, actresses, models and sports stars. However, with advances in technology the cost of such cosmetic dental treatments has fallen dramatically, meaning they are now available for everybody. But why would you choose to have professional teeth whitening if you are not at the centre of public attention? Our smile is one of the first things that people notice about us whenever they come into contact with us, whether that is an interviewer meeting you for the first time, an old friend you haven’t seen for years or even your friends and family that you come into contact with on a daily basis. If you have become self conscious about the colour of your teeth and started to hide your smile, your confidence will be undermined and people will begin to assume that you are unhappy, shy or even unfriendly, which can have a real impact on both your sense of self esteem as well as your relationships with others.

Is teeth whitening safe?

Teeth whitening is completely safe provided it is carried out under the supervision of a qualified dentist using approved products. Over recent years, a huge range of DIY whitening kits have become available in shops and online, however these vary greatly in terms of both effectiveness and safety. Products bought online from anywhere other than a reputable beauty supplier may simply not work as anticipated, or could even risk causing harm. In some cases they may even be illegal.

However, even if you buy a high quality whitening kit from a trusted brand, it is likely that you will be dissatisfied with the results. This is because such kits are required by law to contain a considerably lower amount of the active substances that actually whiten your teeth than those available from dentists.

When you choose to have a teeth whitening treatment from a qualified dentist such as those here at Bridge Dental & Implant Clinic, your safety is assured. Your dentist will always conduct a thorough examination prior to the treatment to make sure that it is suitable for you, and ensure that the entire process is performed correctly using the very highest quality substances of the correct strengths.

What teeth whitening treatments do you offer?

Here at Bridge Dental & Implant Clinic in Derby, you can choose to have your teeth whitened at the practice using Power / Laser / Deep / Office ZOOM! Teeth Whitening or alternatively, you can use our home whitening system.
